HIKE SUMMARY
This is one of our more accessible and less strenuous hikes. A great day out with some stunning views and fascinating points of interest along the way.
“It has taken me 16 years to discover this gem of a walk, and it’s all thanks to Ruby, my wire-haired German Pointer, who, quite literally, sniffed it out for me. Rest and relax at my favourite pub with the sound of the stream running through the garden.”

We enjoyed a splendid hike on a gusty August day; the map and directions and descriptions of points of interest really enriched the experience. Lovely views of the Surrey hills and downs. Lovely and easy day trip from Waterloo. Well done!

Excellent route. Please note at the start the route is blocked due to works by Thames Water. You can follow the main road, don’t turn into the road to the theater, and cross the river via the next available pedestrian bridge. The pub in Albury was closed for renovation at the time of visit (May 2022).
